Had an unbelievable day in St Pete last Saturday.

Rented a helo to shoot the St Pete PRA poker run. Probably one of the smartest things I've ever done. The wind had been whipping out of the southwest for three days and the water was rough as hell. 4-6's in the bay. I'm sure it felt like more to the guys trying to run thru or over them. yikes!

Eighty boats were registered in the event. Only EIGHT managed to make it to the lunch stop.

I'm just glad I was there to capture some of the moments.

My guess is good judgement.
When you see a 50' Mystic turbine and a 44' MTI turning back a half-mile into the gulf...
well, I think that would tell ya something.

 

That MTI was in STL today. Here are the pics I took of it. And your shots are awesome! I would have a poster size framed if I was in any of those. Great shots!
