Over the last several years, it seems that more and more trackday groups have been instituing rules against unlicensed off-highway vehicles in the pits (golf carts, ATV's, Segways). This means that I haven't been able to bring my pit bike along in quite a while, which makes me mad because that was the whole reason I bought it. It's light enough to throw up into the truck, and does come in handy for getting around. If you've been to Road America, you know how big the paddock is.

So after 11 years I finally decided to put a plate on my trusty 1987 Honda NQ50 Spree! Of course, after all that time, it needed some maintenance, so new tires and a battery were in order. Put on a different carburetor and muffler, and now it has 5 mph more top end! Cleaned it up a bit and it looks great!

Took it out for a short cruise the other day. Apparently everyone wants to see what a sweet ride it is, because in a matter of minutes I had a line of cars behind me! So don't be hatin'!

(I've learned not to take myself too seriously. Having said that, I do have the flamesuit handy.)
