Watch out for those deer!

Watch out for those deer!
I'll keep it short. A couple of months back I was chugging along merrily (35mph) on my new Triumph T100 Bonneville. Lovely Saturday jaunt on a narrow country lane about 2 miles from my home. You guessed, deer leapt out of a corn field onto the road and onto me and the bike!
The result, apart from a dead deer and totalled bike, was a very lucky me (alive) and a bunch of broken bones on my left side. I should at this time mention that although it was a very hot day I was wearing most of my usual safety gear... Shoei full face, BMW jacket with armour, padded pants and underwear, Sidi all weather full boots, armoured shin and knee pads.
I still ended up with a broken scapula, collar bone, rotator, 4 ribs, posterior dislocated shoulder, and numerous torn and ligaments etc. I have endured my ER and hospital visits and an operation and survived sleepless nights. My sling came off 10 days ago and now its 3 times a week physio and acupuncture. I have 50% shoulder mobility and its getting better daily.
All I really want to say is please please wear your gear and watch out for those fu#$%ing brainless deer.
Finally to Dana (Barrister), I have a whole new appreciation of what you went through!
Be well and safe fellow TS riders!

Thank you all for your kind wishes. The healing continues as does the physical therapy. Sleeplessness is still a major problem. Our deer cull starts on the 24th and it's going to be a bumper crop with 150 of the creatures per sq mile!
