It isn't snobbery. You're just smarter than everyone who doesn't have one.

I don’t know if you are aware of the shit fight that has been going on in regards to Ducati and a US Lawsuit? Have a read, you may find it enlightening.

Seperate issue; but I'm reading complaints in many forums. WTF Ducati... the plastic tanks aren't saving that much weight at all...

besides when you put fresh fuel in a metal tank sure does feel nice and coooool between your legs!

My Aprilia has the same problem with the plastic tank because of the ethanol.

That stinks. Is it already showing Ara? Ever seen an issue like my tank is having before?

Ya, my tank already has some ripples along the side and a few sports on the top. Aprilia will replace it under warranty, just debating if I should have it coated or switch to race gas only since I'm most likely going to make it a track only bike.

Never seen that, but I agree with most of the opinions here. Looks like touch up paint, or a defect.

Okay, my post was naive. Sorry guys.
Good luck with your Ducati.

I noticed a couple weeks ago when doing the 7500 maintenance that my gas tank had grown, took quite a bit of wrestling (and prybar) to put the rear bolt back in.
Not very impressive, I agree. Especially since I purposely stay away from ethanol fuels (they're not as common here as they are in the us)
