I'm not sure as I have not done much research on the 1098/1198/848. I would NOT recommend running an aftermarket exhaust system without some sort of fuel management/power commander/ecu flash to compensate for the changes. That's where the Termi comes in. Even they are often not perfectly mapped, but it's a good starting point.
Anyone with Duc experience, any tips? To do's? Not to do's? LOL (besides keeping the rubber side down!)

I had a clear bra put on the front and tank of the 1098 and it was definitely a good decision. The tanks on these bikes are so damn long that I found I rubbed on the tank a lot. Also, if you plan on taking passengers normally, I'd also recommend having the area around the passenger seat pad covered as well.
Other than that, just have run and ride safe!

I was thinking of putting red neon lights underneath, fender eliminator with pink LED's and skull n cross bones all over the bike.

Well, it's been a while since I road a proper sports bike.
Initial impressions are: I can't believe I own a Ducati. LOL For years I laughed a lot of Duc owners and at times, road circles around them on my Honda's.
Now I own one. Man, what a special bike. A little hot but I'll get used to it. My RC would give me Radiator blast, this gives me 'exhaust heat blast'. LOL I'm gonna baby it for the first 600 miles then do the service. But I'm excited as hell to get out of work and go ride it again.
Little stiffer then I'm used to; but I'll set up the suspension once I figure out what I like and don't like. One thing is for sure, this bike wants to move. crack open the throttle 1/3 and the front wheel lifts effortlessly. Turn in seems crisp but I gotta scrub off the tire shit so I don't wash out.
All in all, I think I'm a little in shock that I have a new shiny toy. I went out this morning and touched the bike, sort of pinched myself. I've not bought a cool toy in ages.
big grins....
