S1000RR + Akro Exhaust + Fuel Map = 203whp?!
We took our new bike (that we've only had now for two weeks) to the races this last sunday.
The bike's first flying race lap ever, it set the new track record at Buttonwillow Raceway, which is a great start.
Later in the day, the first of the three race California Championship Series, our new BMW S1000RR took home the honors, beating the previous lap record on a number of laps in the process (even though we got the fork setting a bit wrong).
Here's a great shot of Jeremy Toye on the Locust/Lee's Cycle/SDBMW bike:

We've started a blog, but there isn't much there yet. It's at SDBMWRacing
(response to question of 203 rwhp claim)
Yeah, 203 rwhp with just an exhaust and a quick fuel map. This week we should start to get our electronics really sorted out, and I expect 210 without even pulling off the valve covers.
It'd be nice to get the TC working properly with the Dunlops, but that should also happen this week. We'll have the correct profile maps in our grubby little hands in a few days...
So, what we've done to the bike so far:
Removed the ABS, and installed a Brembo master cylinder
Ohlins 30mm fork kit
Ohlins TTX shock
Attack adjustable triple clamps
Attack rearsets
Akrapovich full system
Catalyst bodywork
Dynojet PC V
520 chain conversion
What we haven't done, but are planning:
AK-Gas fork cartridge
WSBK radiator and tank
2D data acquisition
Mag wheels
Engine work
Some other stuff I can't talk about yet
All in all, it's been an interesting project so far. I think we can really push this thing out there with a little work. Jeremy thinks that the Willow Springs lap record is within reach at this point, and should be easy with a few of the gremlins sorted out.
