Paging Ducati Owners
My friend's 1098 is due for a new clutch. Can anyone on here recommend a manufacturer that they are happy with?
He doesn't do track days but his street riding could be categorized as "significantly higher than spirited".
I appreciate any input you may have.

Good call. Somehow it's been magically corrected. Undoubtedly grammar ninjas are the culprit.
My thoughts exactly. We had the plates out for general inspection after installing an open clutch cover and they looked dangerously thin. After bringing them to a local dealer for further review, they determined that the friction material on the plates were within spec (I can't recall the millimeter measurement they said was acceptable but it was surprisingly thin). To look at the plates you would think they were toast. He only has 2k on the clocks and he's a competent shifter (aka he's not slipping handfuls to get her rolling).
I'll pass along the info on the Surflex plates. Thanks for the help.
He's looking to replace the stock clutch packs.

Fwiw, the stock plates are very thin. So long as it isn't slipping in the higher gears while giving it the beans, it's probably fine.
Not a fan of open covers, though. All kinds of crap can get in there.
And slipper clutches are the great satan. Just say no.

Bandaid for learning to ride the thing properly. I've tried several, street and track, and all they managed to accomplish was adding a vague, mushy feel to the driveline.
If one can't properly rev match a Duc, they shouldn't be riding it.
