Disagree. Most of the best starter bikes are twins. Sv, Ninja 250 / 500, GS, etc.

I should have clarified. I meant larger displacement twins such as a TL1000, 916, etc.

Has he been hit by a moving vehicle whilst riding?

I have.

The first thing you think of after the shock subsides is how grateful you are for having gear that saved you from even more pain (and in my case how you want to beat the living shit out of the person that hit you because they weren't paying attention).

No, He was cut off by a car on a cottage road and forced off the road - thankfully he just drove off the side of an embankment and ended up driving off a ~30' cliff into the lake.
