So long Porsche, Hello.....Ford?
After what's seemed like an eternity, I finally decided to take the leap and get the GT. I patiently waited for about 5-6 months for the 997 turbo to sell, and by that time, the prices on GT's had already jumped significantly than when I first started looking.
4 option, unmodded, no story cars seemed to be getting harder and harder to find. I waffled between colors, always coming back to white but considering red, black, and blue if the price was right. Hoping to find a decent higher mileage example priced accordingly, I let one or two go that I should have snagged and almost bought a red/white lightly modded car.
Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago, dealer contacted me about a lower mileage (3800 miles), 4 option, no stories, one owner, bone stock GT. Hallelujah!.......then came the price tag shock. A good deal over my intended budget. My initial reaction was to pass. But then I remembered the other one or two that slipped through my fingers. These cars were just not getting any less expensive. With each passing day/week/month, someone would post about another wrecked GT. The available pool of virgin cars was slowly diminishing and the prices would only get higher.
So, I took a trip to his warehouse and it was all over. Beautiful white/blue stripe, barely an indication that it was driven other than a few minor unavoidable cosmetic issues.
Reviewed the finances, got a PPI, pleaded with the Mrs. (who I LOVE, thanks hon!), and BAM. Took delivery over the weekend.
....yeah, ok. Blah, blah, blah. No one cares about that stuff. On to some pics
Ready for pickup. Some awful iPhone pics.
Stopped by my friend's place before heading home

Damn right it is!
Love this pic with the palm in the reflection.

Bonehead
Congrats man. By now you realize what an amazing car you have. I'm taking mine with me when I go lol. Hopefully a long time from now. It was my first exotic and I had a choice between your color scheme and a midnight blue/ white. I agonized over it and eventually picked the blue but I would have been so happy with that white one.
Enjoy it in good health and be safe

Nice move Bonehead!
I think the time to buy one if those is now; buddy got one last month (black no stripes) because prices were going the wrong way. Goes nice with his black CGT and Enzo too.
Feel like sharing a price range with us?
