Give us a call and we'll 'fix' your C7 right up!"

Round lights don't work with the body shape at all, not to mention this kit blocks the rear cooling vents, while leaving the intake vents intact for whatever reason. You'd have to be truly desperate to pay any amount of money for that, let alone nearly $3k. Better off saving yourself some cash and ridicule by picking up a used C6 Z06.

People whined about the fixed headlights when the last gen car debuted, and I predict this little mod will sell about as well as pop-up headlight kits for the C6. Like I said, I can't wait to get a good laugh out of this.
You sure are jolly. I think he just said he thought it looked better. He didn't say it was some engineering spectacle. Don't like the round taillights? Then don't buy them for your C7. Doesn't mean that people that think they look better need to be made fun of.

Btw, what are those exits for? I see the inlets, but can't understand why the air would be exiting. If it were for the brakes, it would dump on to the brakes and I can't imagine the vents make it that much more aerodynamic seeing that the lines on the car already make it pretty aero friendly.

I believe I've spent too much time over at the Corvette Forum, where some people are pretending that this ridiculously-priced kit is the best thing since magnetic shocks. But I will be making fun of the people I see with these kits in the future. Just like I make fun of the people who put scissor doors or spinning rims on their 'Vettes.

As for the tail light vents, I believe they're outlets for hot air. Intake vents channel air to the differential and transmission for cooling(at least in cars equipped with the Z51 package), and the hot air gets funneled out through the "mascara" vents and other parts of the rear fascia. In non-Z51 cars, I think it's just to reduce turbulence under the car and provide more rear downforce, though I read somewhere that automatics might retain the transmission cooling function from the Z51s.

I totally agree with you. I consider myself a Corvette purist, and I'm all for the round taillights (I have a '72 myself), but on the new C7, no way ... They have done a great job with the new design. For me, the best Corvette designer was Larry Shinoda (C3 and first gen Camaro), and the C7 is the best Corvette design since 1982 (the last C3) ... Hands down. The new rear is a big part of that.

I've been reading the Camaro remarks for over a year now. Yes it looks like a Camaro, if you don't see that you are blind ... But that doesn't mean it can't look good ... The new pics I've seen of the black C7 in the wild, the thing looks just mean ... love it.

And I agree, these kits will not sell ... It looks ridiculous ...

Meh...Same old GM Corvette design fopaux. The rear Camaro tail lights makes it look more like a GM kit car than Thoroughbred. The Camaro owners will love the similarity but the Vette enthusiast will find it embarrassing. Its design is busy for the sake of being busy. Swing and a miss GM....

Sorry, but that thing is ugly. It will take GM several years to clean it up. Kinda reminds me of the mid to late '70s

I like it as well overall, Those tailights are cool too! I know everybody's been crying foul over them too! I think this is the new direction of design of the Vette! And they're moving foreward and backwards! Sometimes you can't always rely on the past for inspiration, A new, fresh design is the way to go! Everyone else just going to have to deal with it!!

I don´t know if it looks better, it´s different but it really comes down to a matter of taste and what one prefers.
