I take back the dumbass comment but maintain that it's a great motor. And I'm not knocking gm, it just seems like the easy way out for kit car builders.

The new Ford stuff is becoming quite impressive, port and polish that do not break the bank and over 400cfm. To to that with the old 4v heads you were looking in the ball park of $3300 for CNC port job, on top of the cost of 32 valves, springs, retainers etc. Those engines can become very pricey to build quickly.
