I agree that the rims are terrible. But $5k will get some very nice replacements. I do like the T-top and convertible though.
Now, I would never buy one over a coupe, especially for that amount of money, but if you already had a modded GT and wanted a collectible, it is nice. It would be cool to be able to drive your FGT with the "top down" in the sun on a nice, warm sunny day driving by the beach.
I wonder if anyone has built a Twin Turgo GTX1?! I doubt it, people don't usually modify something that rare.

As for Twin Turbo'd ones, I know someone that has two GTX1's. 1 has a whipple and the other is twin turbo'd. They're great on the race track because you never have helmet on the roof issues. Wouldn't want to roll it like that, but if you keep the shiny side up, there's lots of headroom.
That black twin turbo also has a FULL Kip Ewing (who designed the GTX1) Carbon Fiber interior, door panels, gauge surrounds, center tunnel etc. Looks wicked.

Not that anyone could tell (except that it was almost 20mph faster than me down the back straight at Willow), but this GTX1 is a twin turbo. You can see the helmet height when he's driving also.
By the way, his other GTX1 is midnight blue.

Dubbed the Geiger HP 790, the package features a larger 4.0-liter compressor (up from the stock 2.3-liter unit), new throttle valves, a sports air filter, improved cooling systems, and revised engine electronics. Thanks to these changes, the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 produces 790 horsepower and 863 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 9.6 seconds, and 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) in 22.8 seconds. If you keep your foot planted, you'll eventually hit the car's top speed of 360 km/h (224 mph).
Other performance tweaks include a specially-developed coilover suspension (which reduces the ride height by 60mm), a sports exhaust system with two 110mm tail pipes, and massive matt black wheels (9x20 front, 11x21 rear) outfitted with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires.

Figured out what my dream FGT is. No more Tungsten. Ship has sailed. I'm in love with gloss black. If I find black and white stripes, I'll cover the stripes with matte black vinyl stripes like my avatar. Black thin spoked rims.
No murdered out taillights though. Dropped, bumper delete, FRPP Headers, Ford performance kit, black rims with some low profile & sticky tires, along with T&A lowering kit. Perfection.
The picture that sold me is the one below. Look how MEAN that low, black/black GT is compared to the stock yellow GT to it's left.
