Challenger SRT8 392 needs better wheels & wider rubber!

I just ordered a new Challenger SRT8 392 but am becoming frustrated with the lack of aftermarket wheel options and wide tire possibilities. I feel like 20's are unnecessarily large, thinking 18's would be ideal with some wide high performance rubber. My goal is purely to increase performance. Anyone have any experience with options for Challengers? I know the application is the same as the Charger, 300 and Magnum as well if anyone has experience on these vehicles. Thanks!

i would do 19's i suppose as the challenger is a big car. go as wide as you can with the lowest offset. they will help you with sizing. their prices are great, i got a set of 18x10 & 18x11.5 for a supra a few years ago for i believe around $3500 (with tires i think)

I have been actively looking for info on the widest possible wheel and tire options for street performance use, preferably in 18 in. size. Over the last week or so, and much research, I have come to the conclusion that I am probably going with the Bolsa wheel in 18x9 front 18x10 rear setup from Huntington Alloys. The accompanying tires will be Nitto NT555 fronts in 265/50/18, and Nitto NT555R rears in 305/45/18.

The orange car has the same wheels/finish I am going with but those pictures are in 20 in. size. The rest of the pictures are of challengers rocking 18's. I don't know how anyone thinks they look bad. A more retro and even mean look I think. Either way all opinion are welcome whatever you think!

Also if anyone can speak to having run Nitto NT555R rear tires on a daily/highway use street car any insight would be appreciated since they are a "near" drag tire. Thanks!

Those wheels on the orange car look like they came out of a hotwheels ad. Sorry.

That is a big car and unless it is set up with the right suspension etc 19's are gonna look better than 18's. I agree with iivx cal CCW. Get a purpose built wheel

Giving my completely honest opionion, I really agree with Powerhouse these wheels in 18 will really not be visually appealing at all on such a big car, 19 in ccw's as others have suggested or bust

19" plus, no question. Even 20's get a huge chunk of tire on the Challenger.

All of those wheels look HORRIBLE! The 20's are just fine and look amazing! Kinda like putting a HUGE WING on a civic si, because it's a "SPORTS" model!
