Took the Mosler out for a 160 mile drive today (went to test drive the 16M). Nice fall day and the leaves are all in the middle of changing color so a great day to drive (also seemed to have an unusually large number of camera phones pointed at the Mosler today). As usual, it fired right up and off we went after a brief period to let all the fluids warm up properly. The car ran beautifully the entire trip. The amount of torque and forward thrust in all gears from just about 1000 rpms and up is highly impressive. Such an easy car to drive at any speed. Steering is razor sharpe and the CF tub lets you know what the car is doing at all times. At times when just cruising down the highway, you do get the feeling that you are sitting in a Group C car and everyone else is in a Golf cart as it is so easy to pull past everyone when you want to. Overall a good drive on a nice fall day.

Boxer, enjoy it in the best of health!

Great to see such a diverse enthusiasm for different cars and manufacturers on this board. Keep the impressions coming; I always love hearing stories about others' reactions to rare/supercars.

The Mosler has been the supercar "workhorse" the last couple for weeks. It got the nod for a long post New Year's drive on one of the few dry days a week ago. When we went out, it had probably been a month since "Mo" last left his warm garage space. As always, it started right up and was ready to go in a couple of minutes. Having not sat in the driver's seat for a bit, I was again reminded just waht a special cool place the cockpit of a Mosler is. Very simple, focussed, and almost as spartan as an F40.

On this run, we did the "Deep Cut" loop which is always a great route. The long series of "S" curves really bring out the best in the Mosler. The CF tub simply does not flex, the huge brakes allow you to carry plenty of speed with confidence, and the big grunty V8 provides enormous power on demand. All in, not much "Mo" does not do well.

As a follow up this week, "Mo" got the call for the run to the grocery store late yesterday afternoon. As truck space is not bad, Mo actually is not a bad option for the food run. You can fit 10 bags lined up across in the trunk. The only downside is you do create a bit of a stir in the supermarket parking lot.

Mo's finally task yesterday was to run my younger son to the school dance. Taking the Mosler was his idea. I do like his style. It was not that he was trying to show off or impress his friends (around here they could all careless anyway), it is just that he likes riding in the Mosler (he wants to go out in the F40 on Sunday).

Weather was dry here again today so we were able to head out for a nice relaxing Sunday drive. Despite being dry, it was quite windy and bitting so neither of the open top cars really was that appealing. As a result the Mosler again got the call. Usual warm up proceedure and then we were off. Slightly new route this time which had a few positive parts of wide open empty road but also more traffic in places. Nice thing today is the ground temp was much higher than a few weeks ago and it was possible to get a bit of heat into the tyres. You can definitely feel the difference in the amount of grip you have. Result is definitely more confidence in how you drive and the ability to open it up more quickly when you can. The combination of ultra stiff cf tub and great steering make for a very enjoyable experience carving around A and B road.

At the end of the 45 minute jaunt, my better half commented, "I really don't think you should consider selling the Mosler"

And that sums up just how good it is.
