Thanks for the kind words. I'd actually love to see a 2 door hot hatch version in the US. I heard that they will be making a hotted up SVT Fiesta here with ~180 bhp turbo I4 in the next year or two. That ought to be a blast.

As far as small, cheap cars that are available in the US for under $15K go, this certainly isn't junk. Compared to a base Mini Cooper, it's not much to look at but the Mini is about $10K more. Compared to stuff like the Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris, etc, this little bugger is absolutely brilliant. It's actually quite a bit nicer than the current USDM Ford Focus too.

As far as being a girls car, yeah, I'd say most of the buyers will most likely be younger women. Despite that, it's kinda cheeky and fun to drive.

Well I was all set to hang my flowery lei from the rearview mirror and cover the rear shelf with a pink feathery boa but my buddy borrowed the car for the weekend before it goes back to the dealership on Monday.

I've driven one of the so called 2 doors pieces of junk overhere in Europe. I have to say, I loved it. It has a great gear box. It maybe a womens car, but the new Ford fiesta is very well build. A great bargain I think.
