"In order to meet worldwide demand, Ford announced today that it will build an additional 746 units of the 2009 Shelby GT500KR. While 571 of the 746 units will be allocated for the U.S., the remainder will go to countries that did not receive the 2008 models.

The 2009 Shelby GT500KR will be powered by the same 5.4L supercharged V8 engine producing 540-hp. The 2009 models will not feature the 40th anniversary badging as on the 2008 models. This will bring the total production number of the Shelby GT500KRs to 1,746."

 

Sweet, maybe they'll give more allocation to dealers and I might get a chance to drive one!

 

Yippie, 746 more 4000 pound Mustangs....
