The government will be the downfall of GM. The performance division was making some of the best cars on the road, dynamically speaking. Snark all you want, that Cobalt SS is the fastest FWD car to ever lap the 'ring at any price range...and it's a 20k shitbox.

Which, in terms of financial health and outlook to the company, doesn't mean shit. Or, maybe they are just retarded, I dunno.

Anyone who bags on the CTS-V clearly has not driven one, been in one, or is not aware of what the car is capable of.
I would put the fit & finish on that car up against pretty much anything. It is a quality piece.

Did the Corvette team produce the ZR1 or did this team?

Saw it produced in the BG plant...performance does not equal quality or tightness. Fast? Definately, but not comparable in fit/finish imo.

BG as in Bowling Green KY? That plant only produces XLR/Corvette. Bowling Green Assembly Plant - Home of the Corvette and XLR

I have spent quite a bit of time in the 2009 (a friend owns one), so I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree. The Corvette is a different story, but I have to give Cadillac credit - and I am not a domestic fan.

Edit: The CTS is produced in Lansing, MI as far as I can tell. Could be wrong though.

My point is that they just cancelled the division making the best cars in the company.

Retarded yes! They haven't made a good decision since, well I can't remember.
