met up finally to inspect the car
it is at the shop for extra testing (more below), no lights though
overall, solid car - i like what i saw and felt
awaiting final diagnosis

interior intact, usual fcar lousy plastic discoloration with the ac controls but nothing to fret over
alum trim not dinged or bent, leather conditioning will get the seats to tip top shape

test drive was good
healthy motor, proper working f1
lovely sound, pulls hard

for a kuwaiti car, kudos to them for still having all papers, manuals, and equipment. seriously, this is huge here lol.
will need spares though, but like i said it's expected

POTENTIALLY BIG ISSUE - or could be nothing, like spark/coil
at idle, you can see the left side of the engine shake
you can listen to some roughness, and my mechanic says 1 of the cylinders has low pressure and is misfiring
we left the car over for more thorough inspection
trial and error will entail: spark plug, ignition coil, and finally check the valves

based on my basic mechanic knowledge, something like that could be caused by lines or fuel pump

if it is the valves, i will have to examine what the cause is
i am going to perform a major service for sure (belts, tensioners, sparks, gaskets etc) but of course if there is something from within prior to purchase then i am not going to let emotions rule

really cool car
personally, i was kind of impressed at how easy the whole layout was at the bay

will keep you guys posted in the upcoming two days :)

Just read through the whole thread, entertaining for sure. I like that you're not cutting any corners in your buying process. I'm sure you will end up with a fantastic car that will treat you very well (and that you will treat it well too :p), good luck my friend.

thanks sam:) appreciate it

yeah i am pretty strict with the cars i buy, but i do tend to put obstacles to overcome just to test how much i really want a car!
i did of course find tidbits with this modena that need addressing, but they are either not costly or unexpected in the 1st place especially with kuwaiti cars :)

Challenge wheels/grill, Tubi exhaust. Done. Skip that F1 nonsense.
