That is just so insulting to the Ford owners, nothing says F- you to a Ford enthusiast than to make a tribute to their own car, and Ford flipping out in the process.

I know, it was something about making money off of their product without permission if I remember right.

Lol, that's what I'm saying. I wonder what firm Ford pitched this out to. I highly doubt they would let their in-house counsel run with this.

^ Oh no. In-house wouldn't handle a litigation like this.

I will find out who it is.

Here is a link to a copy of the Complaint.

Ford Sues Ferrari Over F-150 Trademark « AyrLaw: The Blog

It is well-written but not by a firm I am familiar with.

We may have to wait for motion practice to see who represents Ferrari.

I don`t see that case really going anywhere in legal matters, but don`t forget it`s not the only thing Ford is playing with now, they are already winning...

Like Simba said, you have to be very vigilant about your IP, otherwise you can lose your protection.

This will almost certainly be resolved without going to trial.

What real investment does Ferrari have in naming the car F150?

I can't imagine them going to the mat over this.

Both of these are red though... Ford might have something here.

Kidding aside, I knew this was going to come sooner or later.

Sure, I don`t think Ferrari even cares about looking `bad`on these, but Ford already got the advertise on this news and got related with Ferrari... Sounds good enough.
