328 -- Questions

I am starting the process to locate and purchase one

It is one of my childhood dream cars -- Magnum PI greatly influenced my life (I know he had a 308, but I heard the 328 is easier to maintain.)

First, for those in the know, are 328s good cars?

Second, what should I look for?

Third, should I look at a different vintage?

I'd get something more modern.

NSX would be a great budget sportscar.
95+ are bulletproof and use the same waterpump as a same vintage Accord.

Dude, I want a prancing horse, not another Nippon engineered car. (I own a GT-R, along with a 996 TT, neither of which are leaving the garage.)

If I go upwards, I am probably looking at a 360 or 355 -- which are very very cheap now.

Not interested in the 348

Dude.

take one of these.

I interpreted your question as someone looking for an exotic looking sports car on a budget...

I was wrong.

Appreciate your input. I may be a little dense today and not trying to start any fight -- but look at my original post

Qs were about a 328 -- my childhood dream car.

followed by questions regarding the car

I am a Magnum PI follower -- would love to have one of the 328s with my Ray Bans, short shorts and Hawaiian shirt; but, may have to trade up for the better era car.

TBH Orlando, i had the same impression as Craig. My first response was to tell you to get a 355/360 but figured you were looking for something cheaper.

I would go for a 360 over a 355 not because i like it more just because it's cheaper to maintain from what i've heard. The 355 is still the most gorgeous Ferrari to be made in the last decade IMO.

I know a guy with whom you should speak. He knows more about 328s than I could ever hope to dream about fantasizing about knowing. Seriously.

In fact you probably won't want a 328 after talking to him because he'll bore you to tears with his unrelenting, bottomless well of 328 knowledge. He's owned six of them - and he didn't jump from one to another because of any problems. PM me or e-mail me and I'll give you his contact information.

I think it's great that you're looking to acquire your childhood dream car. The 328 is awesome.
