McLaren Expands North American Dealer Network

• New locations in Atlanta, Long Island, Scottsdale and Washington D.C. confirmed for North America
• McLaren Vancouver confirmed as second Canadian location
• Five new locations to support the continued expansion of the McLaren brand
• McLaren North America is pleased to announce the continued expansion of the retailer network, with the appointment of five new authorised retailers. The four locations in the US and one in Canada will take the network to 15 retailers representing the North American market

The sites for the latest McLaren retailers will be located in Atlanta (Georgia); Long Island (New York); Scottsdale (Arizona); and the capital of the US, Washington D.C. The brand’s second Canadian retailer will be located in Vancouver (British Columbia).

This latest announcement follows the recent opening of the 50th McLaren retailer, as the company continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary. This saw the McLaren name return to its roots in New Zealand, as McLaren Auckland opened its doors.

Tony Joseph, Director McLaren North America explained: ‘McLaren Automotive is continuing to expand around the globe, including the North America market. With three models successfully launched in as many years, and further exciting models in the pipeline, demand for McLaren continues to be strong, and this is why we are adding five further retailers in key areas across the region. We are looking forward to an exciting 2014.’

McLaren Automotive is currently represented by ten retailers across the North American region: Beverly Hills (California), Chicago (Illinois), Dallas (Texas), Greenwich (Connecticut),

Miami (Florida), Newport Beach (California), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), San Francisco (California) and Tampa (Florida). McLaren Toronto (Ontario) represents McLaren Automotive in Canada.

No Massachusetts

 

No Denver yet and it is one of the most remote markets at the moment. Also no Houston yet either, and as someone else pointed out that is America's 4th largest city by population. Hopefully both are included in the next wave, along with Boston which would be a smart move too.

Put one in Mexico for the Latin American market... huge cash cow.

 

Don't see the point of a dealership in NZ. They have soo much more market potential in other areas than a country of 3 million people. One in Australia should be enough to cover the South Pacific.

 

Opening their 50th retailer in NZ was largely symbolic as the original founder, Bruce McLaren comes from there. They don't anticipate tremendous business, but have managed to sell a pair of P1s according to the owner of the franchise. They had already delivered 8 12Cs in country prior to having the dealership too. It was a good business move.
