Volcano Orange is def. a darker deeper shade of orange.

I meant it more like a joke, but def. a hugely AWESOME car!

Volcano Orange is darker like mentioned earlier. Metallic dark orange. It has a definite presence, that's for sure but I'm a traditionalist and wanted to go with the color that McLaren is famous for and that's bright orange!

They did make an one off metallic McLaren orange for one of their HS models. It's absolutely drop dead gorgeous! It's McLaren orange with metallac paint added to the mix. The BEST color from McLaren if you ask me but rumors have it that you cannot get this color even though special order.

Here are a few "mods" that I already have in mind for my car. Starting out with the steering wheel...This is the stock setup


I've ordered a customized wheel from MACarbon. It will be CF on top with an orange stripe


It will have thicker rims. Left is thicker and right is stock.


The "hub" is just rubber on the stock but this will be the upgraded setup with perforated stitched leather


Larger CF paddles


A CF orange "ring" for the start/stop button on the center console which is silver


It's red here...ignore that.


And finally, I'm not sure why McLaren made this piece black when it should be CF. This will fix that.

 

Beautiful car and I love the add bits of carbonfiber. Congradulations on the purchase.
