The McLaren P1 Picture Thread

The Reventón was just a rebodied Murcielago, so it's even more overpriced. The SRL Stirling Moss is just a SLR McLaren without roof and a different body, so it's more overpriced compared with the P1. Overpriced compared with the actual rivals, yes, but compared with some examples of the past is not too much.

Well, for that logic...

If that's what matters most in your mind and how you see the P1 then don't buy one.
I'd say you are mostly wrong - but everyone is entitled to an opinion, to share that opinion and to have people judge them by the opinions they espouse.
McLaren could have started with the P1 and then done a trickle down effect with their other models but needed more volume with their first new product in order to make the establishment of their brand, their factory and their worldwide dealership network more viable.

999kg and 1-100km/h in 2.5s pretty much saids it all. SESTO is what the P1 and LaFerrari should have been. Oh well, guess we are stuck with hybrid hypercars for now. It's actually a good thing I can't afford one ;0)

Gordon Murray couldn't even hit the 1,000kg target in 1993 despite having nearly a blank check for the F1's development and that as his target weight. The F1 came in at 1,140kg despite his best efforts and all cars have only gotten heavier since then with all the added safety requirements as the main culprit.
