But as i say if you want it to close like a normal door just drop the window a bit further,if this becomes a bug bear for everyone in the future im sure Mclaren can programme the window to stay dropped a bit further to release the air pressure as it does when you open the door, then close as the latch engages.
Just a thought
It has nothing to do with the air, but rather the stiffness of the weather seal and the lightness of the door. Besides, if you lower the window down to close the door how are you going to get back in to close the window???Originally Posted by ANDYC
If it really bugs you, just open the window an inch, then it closes without any pressure at all.But the main trick is to bring the door down to the last 6 inches this takes all the pressure out of the hydralic arm so your not having to use more effort to fight that as well. But as i say if you want it to close like a normal door just drop the window a bit further,if this becomes a bug bear for everyone in the future im sure Mclaren can programme the window to stay dropped a bit further to release the air pressure as it does when you open the door, then close as the latch engages.

Congrats on the new car Trax, I just took delivery of mine in the same color and with the same interior as well. I've only driven it a little bit due to the weather, but so far I have to say I prefer it to my 458 as well.

What i meant was from the inside! Closing the door from the outside is simple.Originally Posted by Turbogallardo

You could be right about the seal, try closing the door with the window fully down next time and you will find it requires no effort at all.
Seems so far all the 458 owners in the UK that have got a 12c prefer it too.Makes all the magazine comparisons null and void !!
It's almost impossible to escape the darn car paparazzi nowadays.
Also, what's the dealio with the front license plate? Looks better like this but does "everyone" agree? Great car and spec by the way.
