Giving a 17-year-old a 600hp McLaren as his first car just seems like asking for trouble.

That being said, drive safe, and don't do anything stupid.

Quoted for Truth. A McLaren as your first car, driving in Delhi? You'll be dead withing a week. Don't do it.

There's a lot to be said for driving a piece of crap for your first car. You'll appreciate every other car you drive so much more.

This.

I think it's just stupid to buy a supercar when you are just 17 and no driving experience. I would buy a normal car, drive it for 2-3years and after that buy whatever you want. Jumping to a supercar now its just suicide imo.

Cancel the McLaren order and buy a Koenigsegg. Recent history has shown us that 17 year olds really know how to appreciate a car like that.
