Does anybody know when the first delivery of a customer MP4-12C in the U.S. will be?

Test drives will be reserved for those people who have the ability to pay.

Still a bit of a work in progress back there, but I am sure it will be buttoned up soon as it won't be too long before customer cars begin to arrive.

The 12C is a fantastic car but I am not even sure McLaren's next car, billed as the successor to the F1, will have the ability to unseat it from the pedestal I keep it on.

I received an email from McLaren last month stating that my car was being made and would be delivered in early 2012...they also gave me the VIN.

Titanium silver, black alcantara with saddle leather interior, stealth package with every carbon option, superlight wheels, iris package...and a couple of items from bespoke program.

I drove a prototype earlier in the year, before they revised the car. It reminded me of an iPhone - deceptively simple on the surface, but with unbelievable features and capabilities when you take advantage of all it has to offer.

It will be interesting to drive a demo car before mine arrives.

that is a safe bet! Hard to improve perfection, but I am sure Ron will make you think twice.

In Monterey this past August, the Programme Manager for P12 (the Supercar) and Frank Stephenson who is McLaren's Design Director both assured me 100% that I'd be blown away by the new car. In fact for both of them it seemed it was difficult to contain their excitement for the new car so I am anxiously awaiting its unveiling which I suspect may occur on the Concept Green at Pebble Beach in 2012.
