Lightweight options are the lightweight exhaust, wheels, carbon fiber details, carbon fiber interior and alcantara interior. Ceramic brakes are even heavier then standard ones. The main target for McLaren is not Ferrari, but Porsche.

Seriously i was expecting it to be even faster. 600ps with 1300kg and double clouch sounded like sub 3s times. But again its not all whell drive. But the top speed is really something. U can see the aero working there. And remember, this is not the F1 sucessor, the next car from the line up will be the F1 sucessor, so expect something very very good.

You take the 458, I'll take the MP4 and leave you in the dust.

that could be the car if done right. an evolution to the original if you will.

hoping for a ridiculous power to weight...big power NA V12 (or even V10) would be nice, would like for it to actually sound like its namesake = double digit rev limit, and 1000kg dry weight would bring tears to my eyes. manual gearbox (ya, right), 3 seat arrangement (pretty please), and the utmost quality and attention to even the most minute details as the original. i would love for a return to simplicity and the inclusion of only the essentials required for performance.

they have the ability to give us the next benchmark car, their copious amounts of F1 derived data should increase the likelihood of it being truly epic, lets just hope the ingredients are right from the get go.

all this being said, the 12C is one hell of a "B" model in their lineup.

Just a personal preference, I like both manufacturers honestly and respect them.

Top Gear will have the 12C on tonight's episode. Rumors of a lap time 4 secs faster than the 458 Italia have been circulating. If true, that's monumental.
