Driving Ambition - Owners Edition of the Limited Edition on eBay
Hi all, there's a Limited Edition DA on eBay claiming to be one of the "Owners" Editions. It doesn't look right to me, the Owner's Edition is Black Connolly leather but this looks to be standard Nubuck gray. McLaren literature states only the first 100 Limited Editions are the Owners Edition, but this claims to be below Ed. 107 rather than below Ed. 101.
Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this book?

I've unfortunately never had any of the special variations of "Driving Ambition" in my hands so I won't qualify myself as an expert on them. I can vouch for the seller, although I do not know him personally. He had this particular book as far back as 2004 based on some emails we exchanged. His McLaren F1 collection is extremely extensive in both parts and literature, and I do not believe that he would misrepresent the item he is selling.
I will say that in my opinion, the price it's being offered at is rather outrageous considering you can still get what is almost essentially the same item from McLaren with the LeMans Edition. In fact, I think the LeMans Edition is perhaps a better item to have as the Owner's Editions would likely only have a higher value to the actual owner of whichever chassis number it has been assigned.
You can pick up the LeMans edition for a fraction of that auction price, and collect it at the McLaren Technology Centre with a brief tour if you happen to be in the UK.

It's great there, and a great read too

I agree re the value, unless of course the car it relates to has good provenance ie Rowans, the last one made #075 etc
