Umm you didn't know? That already happened. Ask him questions and try to stump him.

Chassis #011 owned by John McCaw of Seattle, WA. I believe he might keep the car elsewhere though - maybe near Vail, CO. It wears an Oregon license plate but I think that's just for tax 'avoidance' purposes.Originally Posted by JonA85
Peloton25, what's the deal with this beauty? It's basically a standard F1 road car fitted with the High Downforce Kit. John purchased it back in June 2003 through Christies auction in the UK where it was consigned by its second owner, getting it for a steal of a price when compared to present day values. The final total from the auction including fees was £637,720 which equalled about $1.075M US at the time.
The car was originally painted Carbon (almost Black) and featured a red stripe on the ventline of the doors much like Jay Leno's F1 does today. It was the second owner of #011 who had the modifications done to the car in two stages - first the fitment of the Downforce Kit and then later on a retrim of the interior and respray to that vibrant Metallic Blue, reportedly to match the face of a watch he owned.
I'm not in love with the interior color choices but even still it is probably my favorite McLaren. This pic of it by KCS photography on Flickr was my Desktop Wallpaper for a couple of months when I first found it. Just stunningly beautiful!
