My pal - who is also a big car nut like us - claims he saw a silver McLaren F1 driving down the I-5 near Dana Point. Has anyone else in the OC seen this car? Can anyone confirm? Maybe ELIM?

I am not doubting my pal. But I have never seen one in the OC and would want to be on the lookout if he wasn't mistaken.

 

Seeing one is a dream, the last time I saw one was back in 1999 parked in a london showroom not far from Kensington. It was silver metallic.

 

Last one I saw was at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston,...it was part of Ralph Lauren's collection which was on display in the museum.

 

hehe i sat in both of those silver ones he has 1 with a mirror kit, 1 without. lucky me my friend was bmw engineer and the headquarters where they do the service is just 10 min away from my old place

 

i've seen a silver one in LA and an orange one in OC

 

I've seen a silver one in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd in 2003, it's the only one I've ever seen in person.

 

Seen a blue one on Sunset Blvd around UCLA.

 

I saw a black one on the 101 near Westlake back in 1995 or 1996.

 

Not aware of a silver one in OC.

Also, not sure of his level of car-nutness but are you sure he didn't see the silver ENZO?

 

I specifically asked if he had mistaken Ron S.'s silver Enzo for the F1. He said he was sure. He has actually seen that Enzo several times - Ron's son works for my law firm.

Is there more than one silver Enzo in OC??

If anyone would know about the state of exotic cars in OC it is Elliot. I am taking his word for it!

I think he may have seen a Zonda. Are there any running around OC? Or maybe a CCX? I know they are not street legal but you never know.
