For as much as Maserati talks about producing rear wheel drive front engine V8 grand tourers, this surprises me. Not looking forward to it.

They should be very very VERY careful playing in this market. You build an SUV and you all of the sudden attract the same sort of buyer who is used to bullet proof daily drivers such as BMW, Merecedes and Porsche and Audi.

They better have their customer service smiles on; because this will either make Maserati Soar or come crashing down in a burning fire ball.

Mark my words. This is NOT an easy market to be in. There is ZERO margin for error in this economy.

I think in an SUV form the Quattroporte's front end would work. But the sedan does ZERO for me.
