Gran Turismo 30 Hour Restorative Detailing

New customer sought me out to bring his Maserati back to "as new" condition or as close to it as possible. The car is a daily driver with over 19,000 miles on the odometer and is taken thru a car wash almost everyweek(hopefully this does not happen again lol).

The finish was pretty marred and some holograms were also evident, the real challenge was restoring the clear film back to new as it had bird dropping etch marks and deep marring.

The beginning.......

Wheels were very dirty after a recent rain squall, however later in the write up you will see the extent of correction acheived

Bird poop etch and holograms on the trunk lid

Close up of bird dropping mark

After thorough wash and clay steps were completed, the vehicle is put on my lift to remove the wheels for clean up as well as the suspension areas

The extent of the clean up on the wheels was to make them look as if the car had never been driven, here after steaming and cleaning the wheels the stamping on the backside of the spokes every letter is cleaned

Finished product after machine and hand polish, then sealed with two coats of Jet Seal 109

The wheels finish as nicely corrected as the finish on the car

Close up of crusty suspension parts

After de-greasing and steaming before dressing is applied to plastic and rubber

Brake caliper before

After cleaning before the paint of the caliper was polished

Onto the paint correction, trunk lid 50/50 pic after compounding

Close up pic after compounding and intermediate polishing

Pic of hood with 50/50 comparison after compounding

Drivers side door 50/50 pic

After compounding

WOW! Now that's a restoration!!

The owner must have done cart wheels when you delivered the car.

He was very pleased, but he said he expected this based upon my reputation which was his reaction. He brought his Son who I would guess to be around 8 or 9 years old and he said "now the car is so shiny" his expert opinion made all the difference to me at least and by the look on my customers face him as well.

Very nice work! I admire people like yourself that are able to make cars look new again and in most cases, better than new! Great job!
