90 Hour Restorative Ferrari 360 Correction
Recently completed job in the shop, this vehicle came to me from the Ferrari Owners Group as I donated a complete correction for their charity a great cause. The entire vehicle had been re-sprayed and suffered from many issues that will be shown in this write up.
At the onset of the job starting with a thorough wash/decon procedure.
Right into it, severe defects such as holograms, sand scratches and deep tracers on the finish.
Initial aggressive compounding with M101.
One of the most challenging aspects of this particular job was the severe defects on the clearfilm, the worst I have encountered and since the job was for charity and had "Nothing but time" I decided to go as far as I could knowing if the film was damaged it could be replaced.................saved the client some big money in this regard.
50/50 correction pics of the film.
This pic is still during heavy correction stage.
During medium polishing stage.
During one of the late evenings I needed a break from the heavy correction and turned my attention to the exhaust, riddled with water spots and "Blueing" I promised the owner it would look much different when he saw the car the next time.
Well.........................during a two hour stint on the exhaust can.
Finished down.....................
One of the deep sand scratch tracers I dealt with, they were everywhere.
Tracer polished out.
Passenger door not looking it's best.
After correction.

Meguiars M101 destroyed the defects........................ another game changer.
The hidden beautiful finish coming thru.
As bad as it gets.................
After cautious correction right near the edge of the door.
More sand scratches.......................of course right up to the edge.
About this time Jeff from Immaculate Reflections came in to help so this 50/50 is his handy work.
1000 grit sand tracers....................body shop must have run out of finer grades of paper ie: 2000,2500,3000,4000 etc.......
After compounding.
Jeff's reaction to using M101 for the first time, "Daddy like".
Still a long way ahead till completion.
#3
Unknown sticky substance all over the clearfilm wrapped rocker.
More sand scratches in the tightest spots (Of course!).
Defects removed.
50/50 pic of the dried out trim.
Trim restored before matte finish dressing applied.
Wheel, rotor and wheel well dialed in.
Interior cleaned (Although not to bad so no "Before pics needed") leather now soft with a satin sheen.
Interior leather was in good condition sans the drivers bolster area which on this tan interior will show wear.
Interior looking sharp.
Exhaust can looking "Like chrome".
Car finished down and LSP applied(3D Nitro seal)
Factory badge was removed(With the help of Alek next door @ Alekshop as the body shop did NOT want this badge removed).
Two sided tape affixed for the re-installation of the badge.
Laying down on the job..................
Diffuser dialed in.
