2014 BMW M4 Spotted at the Ring

Our spies have spotted once again, the 2014 BMW M4 looking close to production ready, testing on the famous Nurburgring. Upon first glance this appears to be like all the other spy shots we have seen to date on the new M4, but look closely and you'll notice this prototype is wearing M Carbon Ceramic Brakes.

Under the hood, the all-new S55 engine is expected to be an inline 6 cylinder with a tri-turbo setup, putting down a good amount more torque and hp then the outgoing M3.

The M4 is not expected to hit dealers until late 2014.

Nope, the M4 is gonna be the Coupé version of the new M3...
@ DJ: 100hp more? I don't think so...the M3 is projected to have 450hp!

Yes, the coupes are called 4's and the sedans are now the 3's.

 

If only it would drop the fat and the turbos. A 3,000lb naturally-aspirated screaming straight-six M would be nirvana....

 

If it's already close to production, why will it be another year and a half until the thing debuts?

 

What fat? This car is a 200lbs lighter than the old M3 Coupe! But it's not meant to be a Lotus. Some people don't like their cars stripped and made out of plastic.
