Nice pick up, Andy!! My CB/Cinn car just arrived in WA last week. Seems like a lot of E46M market action lately.
Congratulations!

Driving the E46 M3 made me realize how much of an utter disaster the E90 M3 was. It was heavy and slow witted compared to the E46 even though it's down 70HP. The S85 is just a complete mismatch for the E9x platform. They really should have put a modernized S62 in the E9x.

I am buying the OEM CSL CF roof. I was not able to find a no sunroof ZCP in the mileage that I wanted, and the sunroof M3 roofline is a little too low for my short inseam 6'2" frame. Will probably do this next year.

This thread has gotten me super-excited. Before reading it, I was in the frame to purchase a CS / ZCP, still in negotiations though: Interlagos Blue with an Individual-spec 2-tone leather interior. Let's hope it works out!

I finally watched the "Road Testament" clip. I actually think Harris' parting remark brings up a very good point. I DO think the E30 M3 has become slightly overrated at current market prices. I've owned one and I can honestly say I enjoy driving my 88 325is more than I did my 88 M3. The money some cars are fetching is hysterical.

e46 is handsdown one of the best looking coupes ever. Problem is; every other hs kid has one and it's been riced to hell. There's a guy in my complex (he's a doc I believe) with a super clean silver one. Just sits all the time. but it's always clean.

GLWS Andy!

Andy: there's a thread on M3F about a CF sunroof replacement which is basically a CF box that fills and replaces the sunroof portion of the roof. It's <$400 all in (1/10 of the OEM CSL roof) and I reckon it provides the same benefits - headroom, weight reduction. I can dig it up for you if it sounds interesting. On black it would not contrast as much (the sunroof is now CF, the rest of the roof remains untouched). I happen to fit and enjoy the light/air but if my sunroof ever takes a dump, I would go this route rather than replacing it.

sunroof replacement,..
I find it just so ridiculous to bitch about the sunroff,..those few lbs shifting the center of gravity a bit etc won`t interfere with normal world driving,..and 95% of the cars time it will not roll on track tarmac,..so just chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill
