I think it's pretty rare to see one with the hardtop installed.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL cars though, and lovely to drive. (i've been fortunate enough to do so on numerous occasions as well)

Yeah, I probably overheard the most compliments on those cars this morning. Mostly about how well the design, looks and value have stood the test of time.
It was pretty cool to see both of them there. At first glance I thought the guy had just reparked his car, then realized they were totally different!
Here's one more super high ISO shot I took when I first got there that shows the hardtop a little better.

I've always loved these. I think they're very under appreciated.
My father has driven a friends Alpina version which is called the Alpina V8 Roadster. Strange thing about those is that Alpina actually downgraded the power, I believe they made about 375 hp while the normal Z8 made 400 hp, but he still said it was a strong feeling car.
