Spied: The New BMW M6 Cabrio looking production ready

Our trusty Teamnspeed spies bring us the best pictures to date of BMW’s new M6 in cabrio guise. The new M6 is rumored to become a true monster when it will hit show rooms in spring 2012. Equipped with the sophisticated 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 known from the X5 and X6 M-versions, the new M6’s motor will develop roughly 570 to 580 hp.

The car was snapped close to BMW Germany’s headquarters. As you can see it was riding on giant 20-inch wheels, and we reckon that yet bigger ones will be available as an option. Stay tuned for more developments.

 

A part from new bumpers, it doesn't look different from the normal 650i. According to me, BMW should realize something more sporty

 

It's set to be revealed in Detroit in few weeks time.

 

I hope that we share the same point of view: sporty=bigger bodykits

 

Looks about as sexy as a Chrysler Sebring! BMW has clearly lost its way!

 

Not a fan. Plus I can't believe they'd release a non-hardtop convert.

 

There's one thing wrong in the description: this car is highly unlikely to get anything other than the M5 engine + a few HP. That engine in itself is very different to the X5/6 M engine.

 

Saw the new 6 at the dealer yesterday, and IMHO its the ugliest thing I've seen come out of BMW in a while.

BMW really need to step up the aesthetics and interior design. They are falling behind MB and Audi.

 

Those rear brakes are huge!!!
