Six Things We Learned at BMW M
#23
Yikes bro. That's quite a few controversial words you seem to be ignorantly tossing into the middle of oncoming traffic...
And I used to think Europeans had the spirit of driving in their best interests.
Tsk tsk tsk.

2. He isn't European.
3. I have no opinion on the matter because I kind of get why it's frustrating for BMW, but still understand why some want a manual option.

Albert sounds like he does not have the slightest clue about what an actual ///M car is. "Annoyed" by people wanting a manual?! A disregard for weight savings with respect to perfomance and driver experience?! Maybe this guy has never seen the original M3.
Kind Sir,
Please remove your head from your ass, climb aboard your 5000 lb X6 "M", and drive off a cliff.

1. The attitude towards the Z4M is hilarious. You can't build one because you turned the car into a bloated POS and the M guys started laughing when they were asked to make something good to drive out of that mess.
2. The attitude towards drivers does not bode well for the future of BMW. Damn those pesky drivers and their desire for manuals. If only we could engineer them out of the equation, we could make the perfect car!
Miss the point much?
I'm AMAZED the 1M made it through that kind of BS.

We'll have them for a very long time to come. The problem is with the trend to turn what used to be a sports car into a luxo-barge. Fortunately, you can't really do that with a 911 and expect to sell it, or a Corvette/Viper/Mustang/etc.
