z3coupe>z4coupe>m3

I look at e86 (3.0's) before settling on the E92.

Z4M no doubt, I remember Arling raving about his when he got one. I'd get one in Interlagos or in white

Oh that's not much lower! Thought it was closer to 7500 for some reason. I stand corrected. You have an ACS Z3M, right? Such a special car. My dad's favorite BMW by far (Z8 being a distant second).

I have to play devil's advocate:

Truly a beautiful car also. Love the lines and stance. Aggressive without standing out. I wouldn't go 'tuner' on either, personally prefer the 'OEM+' look now, but the M3 has a looooooot more available.
My first car (7 years ago) was an S2000 that I made pretty extreme. Wouldn't go that far again, but I can probably handle the Z4M for a DD, even in mildly-modified form. That said, I currently commute through LA and just wonder if the daily sacrifice in comfort is worth the occasional extra fun. My commute, sadly, does not include any nice canyons or even very smooth roads. That is why the M3 sounds appealing - fun when I can have it, but tolerable for the majority of days that I cannot.

Xterra - No longer need it. My car purchasing is quite peculiar, I must admit.

Obligatory photo bomb: Owned by close friend and member David_LM, photographed by close friend Dale Tu in Seattle.

So nice and fun! This car looks and sounds great with the top down.
