I wonder if the 190mph is the true, drag-limited top speed. The E60 was good for 205 with the limiter removed, so it's hard to see how 10% more power would result in 15 mph reduction in top speed unless the new car either has a much bigger drag area, or is much less aerodynamically efficient than the previous car.

That's definitely a possibility, but let's hope that's not the case because the M5 was originally created to terrorize the Autobahn.
