Just to add, in Bahrain there are 20 Carrera's for every M3, so they're not special at all.

I would go with the M3 because it seems more practical. I don't think I would want to drive the Porsche everyday. But if i had a second vehicle I would probably choose the 911.
A little off topic...I've driven in my friends 997 C4S and I was pretty impressed with the performance. It felt sharp, direct,light and very spirited (quick). Does the M3 really perform and feel the same way? I ask because these two cars are always being compared and I would be pretty impressed if the m3 drives like what I experienced in the 911.
