Don't swap anything. Clean it up, replace any significant wear items. Drive it and have fun. And then sell it if you find a Delta.

My e30 M3 (bought new) is one of my favorite cars I have ever owned. I wish I had kept it.

An e30 M3 is WAY cooler than you are, and should hold its value. So how can you NOT buy it?

Looks awful from the picture, or what? Get a leakdown test if you're worried about the motor, or take the valve cover off and look at the cam lobes.

Dont' swap anything, those are classics and worth far more original. If you want to swap, get a regular E30 and put an S50 in there. Or a 351 Windsor.

Don't, don't, don't buy the first one you see.

Go to the links I sent you. Ring and talk to Munich Legends if you are serious. Get it out of the UK.

If you buy a car with provenance, you will sell it for more, and it will be a shitload easier to sell. You will pay more for it, but you ain't gonna be loosing money on it.

You should definitely get it Jox. As a guy whom appreciates true driver's cars like yourself, I can guarantee that you will love everything about it.

The handling, the feel, the engine, the compact size, the micro sensitive throttle feel and that incredible chassis. No other performance car came out of the factory that well made. You will love it.

The collectors perspective is a different thing which for me is a bonus to having such a fine car, not the reason.
Nothing I ever drove and own gives me the sensation of my E30 M3, including the CSL.

That car you found looks solid and pretty decent. You should have seen my engine when I first bought it. It was a mess. Although restoring was part of the charm for me.

In the worst case, a quality, reliable s14 rebuilt would cost you between 4-7$K, add 2-3$K for other repairs, replacements and cosmetics and for about 7-10$K, you have yourself a gem. Believe me the final results would be worth 10x than what you spent.

Do it ! And if you do buy it, I would gladly help you with any problems you might have on the way with the limits of my knowledge and resources.
