They have timing chains Jox. The engines are reliable if they haven't been neglected. Neglected examples can be very tired.

I know a few guys who would kill their mothers for an E30 M3 as clean as that one, engine bay doesn't look too bad either.

^Come at me! 350hp with CSL airbox and other goodies mated with the e46 M3's 6MT is one of my dream projects

Jox, $22k seems pretty high since you can find one with significantly less mileage for under $20k here in the states

But why ruin a perfectly good E30 M3 for that sort of project - just get a rotten regular E30 you oily bastid!

^B/c I'll ruin what I want to ruin and may have to now just to spite you. I invested my JC wants a GT3 fund, so a trashed out e30 track car build has been looking better and better.
