Here's an interesting idea (at least to me): Since BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche all have performance SUVs, why not make that a support race? Imagine X5/X6M vs. Cayenne Turbo vs. ML63... I think it'd be cool.
A few years ago (like 1999 so 11 years ago!) BMW built a prototype called the X5 Le Mans based on the E53 chassis with the V12 from the 1999 Le Mans-winning LMR prototype. That thing was insane! I believe the figures were something 700HP at the crank? I'd have to check but can you imagine if BMW produced that instead of the current X5 M or ran it in something like the Paris-Dakkar?

I wish the US-based touring car series in the US were a bit more interesting/more heavily covered. I watched the Continential Tire Series this year and it wasn't too bad but still not as good as the current BTCC/WTCC.

DTM racing isn't what it used to be. Might as well be watching slot-cars.

Bring back the days off too much power, non existent mechanical grip with no downforce.

agreed with kurt, the formula is currently too removed from production spec in most cases.
