I thought that was an E30. Wow, how times have changed.

It feels like I've been seeing camo shots of this thing since the dawn of time. This thing needs to be revealed already. As for the car, I just can't seem to get past it's looks. It just doesn't mean business like a M3. A little too 'cute' for me I think.

3300+ lbs is too chubby for what this car is trying to be.

Probably not going to happen, unfortunately. Given the low volume of production and the impeding end of this gen. of the 1 Series - it isn't in the cards. Also, M built this 1er as a means of getting back to a lower price point(back around the E46 M3's base price) to attract/maintain buyer and keep them within the M brand considering a 911 and a well optioned-M3 are now very close in price.

To make the vehicle more affordable it wasn't as heavily revised as, say, an 335i compared to an M3. So, they probably couldn't justify the development expense/ market segment of a 1 M-based CSL.

Too bad, a 3,000lbs 1 M would be a ridiculous little car.
