So, what the heck is the price going to be? If it's going to be almost $50k, that would be VERY stupid. Just go pick up a barely used E90 M3 for that sort of money.


That's BMW's biggest issue with the 1 series. They make NO $$ sense at all.

Exactly. They need to be smart with the pricing on this car. 50k gets you a lot of nice lightly used cars.

they will sell a lot of cars with good lease offers I guess...

The minority will have to decide if they slap 50k+ cash on a new 1 M or a used car

It's going to have to be at least $50k MSRP, Chris. A loaded 135i is around $45k MSRP. A loaded E92 coupe 335i (not 335is) is around $10k more. Don't you think that's a decent price difference?

I always forget about leases since they're not a consideration for me. I can see a person making the call for a lower monthly on a new 1 M vs a much higher payment for a used M3, RS4, etc...

You guys in the US are lucky, by the time we get it here it'll be priced at your MSRP + 25% to 50%. This means it'll be more expensive than a slightly used m3!
