I saw one at the 'bahn yesterday that had a minimum configuration at about 60k and was impressed. Same white color, looked sweet and I am not a BMW guy.

it's not just you.

i find it incomprehensible that bmw would put brakes on this car that fade after a couple laps on track, doesn't "M" stand for motorsport?

Personally, I find the interior to be very uninteresting and not very purpose built. The handling is great, the power is to be expected. Definitely not a revolution, but a strong evolution. After having several cars with ceramic brakes, I can't believe that this car doesn't come equipped. But, if you wanted a potent daily driver and an occasional track hobby toy, this is a great option.

It'll sell well to BMW customers.

Love the steering wheel, love the interior, not too flashy, just perfect. I saw interlagos blue m3 at the dealer, car looked tight.

Used 997s does not have the ability to rev to 8400 and it does not generate 414hp, doesn't mean its a bad car, just doesn't have the same capabilities.

I'm with you Club. I ask myself that every time I see the new M3. I have respect for it, and it is a great car, don't get me wrong. But it just doesn't look different enough than it's sister, the entry level 3 series coupe. 70k?!
