I think it's absolutely gorgeous. I just wish some day I can afford this car. The color, the looks, even the spoiler, I freakin love all of it. Give me one of this and I will forever be content.

Can guarantee the old one is more hardcore than this one. Especially if the difference between the E46 and E92 is anything to go by. Have you driven/ ridden in the previous one?

And i don't care much for the new V8 engine for some reason. The GTS will be different i know, and will be interesting to see how much of an impact the .4ltre makes.
The previous car managed just fine without the riceroni rear wing and tacky carbon splitter, which i think is what i'm most annoyed by. You could blend in driving the CSL, only the true gear heads knew what it was, in this thing, you are going to stick out like a prick.
Yes i have driven the old CSL and i have owned a very modified M3 e46. As far as hardcore we cant tell if this is more of that,we have to wait and see. But from the specs that you can see it sure looks like this is just as hardcore as the old one. I´ts heavier for shure but that is not surprising, these days the cars is getting heavier and heavier every year, but still they are faster.

And about blending in, im certain that you can order your GTS without the wing and in another color. I wouldn`t mind having mine in this color

The E46 CSL were a roadcar, and even though it was leightwight and, it still retained everyday practicality. This doesn't, and in return for what is lost, I simply don't see that enough has been won. To me, this seems more like an attempt to prove that the E92 is hardcore with a limited halo model, while still keeping the regular E92 very comfortable.
How do you know all this stuff by only looking at pictures of it?
Its not a roadcar because it has a rollcage and bucket seats? Well i guess i have to tell my friend with a GT3 clubsport to stop using his car daily because its not a roadcar

we have to wait and see, i think this car will be great

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
I like the look of this car. Just throw the wing in the garbage, and get that matte gray color. But for 170k, I would buy anything other than this car.

Hehe, fair point, well made. I may gone a bit overboard there. I guess I just wish that M would just do something in between the SUV's and this club sport model.
I'm guessing you'll be right, though, it's probably going to be entertaining. We'll just have to goad ECB into buying one right away, so he can tell us

We will have to wait and see how the pricing sorts out. I like the 4.4l V8, racing buckets, upgraded brakes, adjustable suspension, etc. I think they should tame down the exterior styling, and keep the colors relatively subtle. A carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser is more representative of BMW, IMO. Hopefully a 6-speed gearbox is still available. Also, leather racing buckets as an option would be a nice, as would an integrated roll cage (like RUF).

Anything above $100K and it becomes retarded.

I think it's great. I would love to get one. The only things I would change are the color, a less obvious wing, and I would add Carbon Ceramics.

You think they could have designed a wing that flowed better with the car while achieving the same purpose.

Best car promotion video ever made? I think, without exaggeration, yes.
