If you ask me, folding metal roofs look cheap. The new one for the 3-series has too many vertical lines that break up the roof line. Looks a little "patchy" to me. A shame on such a nice car...
Cloth roofs ftw on any premium car, looks so much more hand-crafted. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it'll be something that distinguishes a premium car from a "peugeot solution".
