G-Power M3 CSL

BRUNSBUETTEL, Germany — G-Power, the BMW specialist, has a solution for Bimmer owners and enthusiasts who believe Munich is missing the boat on performance options.

The tuner has begun retrofitting the 5.0-liter V10 from the M5 into the previous-generation M3 and says it will be happy to do the same for your current E91 3 Series coupe, X5 or Z4.

If that doesn't wet your pipes, G-Power says it is also working on a twin-supercharger kit for the V10, which in normally aspirated mode delivers a mere 500 horsepower. Two variants in G-Power's pipeline are said to produce 640 and 750 hp, respectively.

In the recent E46 conversion, G-Power coaxed a bit more power from the stock V10, nudging output to 550 hp and torque to 412 pound-feet. Zero-to-60-mph acceleration is trimmed from 4.8 to less than 4.2 seconds, while top speed leaps from 177 to 208 mph.

Underpinning the car is a KW Automotive suspension, complemented with 21-inch G-Power Silverstone Diamond wheels.

I think G-Power is a great tuning company and this is an amazing car but I really don't like the wheels...

That car is a beast, and can easily be mistaken for stock... I like it.

I don't know why they particularly picked the CSL for this conversion. Might as well do it for any E46 M3 - it will be far more feasible. Now you will lose that sweet intake system that is only available on the CSL.

They sure do some neat work none the less.

G-Power makes BMW M3 E46 faster than new M3

Tuning firm G-Power has created a new performance package for the BMW M3 E46. Dubbed the SK I supercharger system, the package consists of a large ASA TM I 20 centrifugal supercharger which enables BMW's 3.2-liter inline-six to produce 450 hp and 450 Nm of torque (up from 343 hp/365 Nm). Thanks to the additional 107 hp, the G-Power M3 E46 accelerates from 0-200 km/h in 14.7 seconds, which beats the 15.8 second time posted by BMW's 420 hp V8-powered M3 E92.

If G-Power's 20-inch "Silverstone diamond" alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires are also ordered with the SK I supercharger system, the M3 E46's top speed increases to more than 300 km/h (186 mph). Other optional equipment includes a high performance stainless steel muffler and a continuously height-adjustable G-POWER coil-over suspension with nine selectable settings.
